macrist curve cutting blade

Hi Y'all, just been hearing about the Macrist bowl shaped disc for cutting curves - has anyone used one and are they up to much and worth the money ?? Cheers Cow

Get them from trade tiler, 4th item down on this page Tradetiler Tilers 115mm (4 1/2") Wheels (angle grinder) haven't used one but I'd say it'd be quite handy.

They should do the trick, mind you i can do it well with an ordinary blade.

Never used one but IMO can't see them being massively different to a normal disc. I'm with hillhead, never had problems using a normal disc. Would be interested to hear the feedback if you do get one though

Sorry mate, no. I should think that they are pretty good tho. I disagree with the gentlemen above (respectfully), I haven't found a shape or profile I cant cut with an ordinary disk yet but if this little kiddy makes it quicker/easier then its worth every penny IMO. There is nothing better than getting a new tool that makes life easier. If we didnt upgrade our tools when new things come out, imagine what our tool kit would look like!


That being said, I haven't used one and would like some1 how has to give some feed back :lol:

I agree Rich, I'm not saying I wouldn't use one just that I've always managed with what I've got. If loads of people start using one and the feedback was good then without a doubt I'd buy one. I'm just to tight to be the Guinea Pig :lol:

Gimmick. Never had a problem using a normal blade. Might be good for noobs but then how do you learn?
