Just to put this one to bed finally, the tiler who did the mismatch tile job was recommended by another local tiler who had done some work for me. Once he visited and saw the mess he offered to come and relay the other tilers work for free.

I managed to get just enough of the right batch code tiles by trawling all the local Homebase stock shelves. So with me armed with my Bosch grout removal blade which did them all with hardly any dust excaping the connected Vac cleaner and only slightly wore 1 diamond blade, and me again with my Bosch sds digging up the bad tiles, he followed behind laying the new replacement tiles.
1.5 days later its looking like it should have done originally. Of course I did give the tiler some ££ even though he was kind enough to say he would do the job for nothing.

Bet you didnt think that would be the result did you

Thought I might share some pics with you.

Here is the problem part of the floor, around 13 mtrs with 69 mismatched tiles spread around the floor, notice how the light picks out the matt ones.

And here again relaid with matching semi gloss tiles replacing all the dull ones, the guy even replaced the tiling skirting that was put on out of level and mitred the corners as he said "it looks so much better and doesnt take much effort" And he was right there!
Yes I do need to give them a bit of a clean still :winkiss:

Here is why I needed to match the original tiles, the floor goes around the corner from the dining area into the new kitchen extension and through to the old kitchen floor as well.

You will have to forgive the old lime green units in the "old" kitchen, ran out of money to fit new units there as well right now, the whole floor is tiled though so I wont have a problem with future tiles if I move units around when I do replace them.

I cant recommend my tiler enough, hes also done the hall, we had a different tile there  He's not cheap at around £20/sq mtr or less if its a bigger job. Not many I think would rework anothers bad job with such enthusiasm.
