Mapei to go into large stores??

My local supplier has stopped doing Mapei altogether now.........due to the fact that they ARE supplying BnQ. I was told that "wots the point of stocking it....if they can go down the road and get it cheaper" also as mentioned.......its a different formula ???

you have confirmed the other part of what I heard, that the quality woulld be different, and inferior. I know one local supplier has dropped selling Mapei altogether.

Working in France recently, the large store we used sometimes there had Mapei - the proper stuff and a large and specialized tile tool section - miles away from whats easily available here. The general builders merchant had complete Weber systems and info.
Do we think UK will follow suit?

Err!! mapei into B&Q was the thread beginning.....so B&Q are the biggest tile sellers was what he meant....think about it lads...:lol:

As for mapei into B&Q.. YES it's true.....the product is called 'buildfix' by mapei...

Are you in South West London SW? What local supplier dumped Mapei?
