I just noticed nobody replied - 'scuse the late response but hope this helps.

Marble is nice to work with depending on the quality. All wet cuts obviously.
As it's quite a fragile stone the floor must be absolutely rock-solid, no deflection. Also use white rapidset - grey can stain or show shadows through the stone, and it needs to set quickly so that there is no risk of water staining the stone. I'd recommend back-skimming the tiles for 2 reasons: 1 is to ensure full solid-bed fixing (more important than usual due to the weaknesses within the stone and 2) so that you don't see trowel marks showing through the stone afterwards (can happen on some marbles).

Price-wise for 6sqm I would say 1.5 days max but that's excluding prep work and sealing afterwards.

Thanks for the reply Graces Dad, much appreaciated. I quoted three days work in total, The floor was not in good condition, It has been an extension added to the property a couple of years ago, concrete base which had all cracked, then they tried to fix it by putting SLC over the top. this to has all cracked, raised and looks like the ocean, all waves. I explained it would not be possible to put marble ontop of this, and some work needed to be done, more importantly they need to find out why so many cracks in surface as in crumbling in areas. Im not so sure the SLC is SLC it looks like a tanking gum, blue in colour. So i advised, what more can i do, it seems someone else has got the job.:beatdeadhorse5:
