As mentioned by KEV 5200 is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to purchasing a stone restoring machine, I recently calculated what I believe to be a fairly accurate start up figure for this type of work. I believe 40,000 would get you up and running and leave some cash flow till the invoices start being paid. Cash flow is vital in this business, you may be on a job that requires 2000 worth of materials. As mentioned before you must have spare parts for the machine and in some cases spare spare parts, because it common for problems to arise during restoration procedures, which could not have been predicted during the survey of the job!
The 40000 figure only gets you started so you are in effect a new business with no existing client base, so I suggest a friendly bank manager which nowadays will be hard to find!
Add a good quality van with security, training costs, loss of income while training and i dont think our figures are too far apart!
