Hi All

A customer had decided he wanted marble on his hallway.kitchen, utility and basement floors.
While in a tile shop he said a tiler, said he'd been in the game 30 years, said he would stay well clear of marble as its to much trouble.

i said it would be fine if done properly, but thought i'd ask your opinions on it.

i have no problem putting it down and do not see any problems with the actual product. its 15mm thick the one he has found although the tile shop i use has a 20mm thick one but double the price.

any thoughts will be appreciated

There a lot of older generation tilers that dont like fixing stone. They like it the way its always been and prefer 150 x150 white ceramics.

hi all,

many thanks for the replies.
its a cappaccino marble thats all i know 60x60.
The house is a new build with water underfloor heating with a 75mm screed on top, the screed has been down months and the heating is now on.the tiling isnt due to be done for atleast 3 weeks.
i think it would look lovely
putting dittra mat down with joints in door ways with door bars on top although im open to suggestions. thought about matching silicone in 5mm joints at the door thresholds but how nice does it actually look. just thinking a door bar would break up the shhet of glass look as there is some long runs, the job is 77sq mtrs in total.
