Marine ply / Exterior ply

Whats the difference between Marine and Exterior ply. Apart from cost, the timber yard says no difference. I explained it`s for a bathroom floor to be tiled over and he said all the tilers that go there use exterior. For your info bathroom floor approx 5m going on chipboard, cheers Daz.

Marine ply is top quality ply used for heavy duty wet situations - i.e. boats. Exterior grade or WBP ply is sufficient for tiling purposes.

Thanks boys, will go with exterior ply on this one, as you say marine is almost twice the cost.

I think it is something to do with the resins used to bond the sheets but can't quite remember. WBP is what you are after.
