Marking tiles for cutting !

Had another tiler helping me out on a job yesterday, noticed that he measured his tiles with a tape measure when marking for his cuts into corners.
I reverse my tile and mark.

Just wondered who uses a tape measure and who reverses tiles ?

Depends...both really.....no skirting on..then just quick tape meaure....more precise cut then reverse mark or tile flip method...

Reverse and mark unless their big old tiles then generally measure

Same here, I do both. When tiling up to ceiling I find it easier to just measure with a tape for the last tile b4 the ceiling and then taking off the nec space allowance.

Big tiles that are too tricky to reverse, then measure I AGREE !

Yup both here too, usually whatever I haven't mislaid, pencil or tape

have a massive set of dividers as well, from my wifes welding kit, great for those awkward to reach spots!

Mostly reverse as i can never find my tape.

On the flip side use a door packer against the skirting and then mark directly from tile to tile. If you see what I mean

choice of hunting for the tape measure or flipping the tile over,flipping over usually wins...........

i always use the tile saves markin twice, often try do as many as poss at same time.rrr: lol
