stars radiate their own light Alan, our sun is a modest one by star standards:thumbsdown:

Cheers Doug, I'm glad I'm not the only one interested in the heavens. Mrs Phil just said, " so there are other whack jobs, its not just you" I love astronomy. Vast place the Universe. 1st time I have seen Mars live:thumbsup:

Mrs Doug bought me a star once for my crimbo present, it's in canis venatica constellation:thumbsup:

Nice one doug, I'm just an amateur, read more than do. But just had the binocs on the moon and the God of war. Need to get some real kit for my old age.

not ideal viewing with a full moon, too much light pollution being thrown off moon, but still a nice effect:thumbsup:

Women all over the country will be able to see there homeland.

Well...............they are all from Mars :lol:

Look at the full moon, on the left of it you will see an orangy glowing dot - that's Mars... about the distance of your fist away from the moon if you stretch out your arm in that direction, just don't let anyone see you...

My wife says she saw the moon tonight (perfect view of it rising out the living room window) but says she didn't see Mars go past!!!!!!
