medium set adhesive

Do you think if you ever needed a medium setting adhesive you could make it by mixing half a bag of rapid set with half a bag of slow set?
If it woks you can make your own medium set that sets in 12 hours!
I wonder if that would work?
If it does it means you can mix twice as much in one go - and say you finish in the evening at 5.30, this is ready to walk on by 9am.
Might be an idea in some circumstances.

In the winter I use rapid set on most things as it lasts upto an hour plus. Summer time, forget it. I reckon they will eventually get a mid-range setting adhesive.

The problem is, I know tilers from shops who will use bucket gear and grout in a few hours. It is best to be honest in my oppinion and do the job right.

give it a try and you will get a surprise.
it sets far quicker than rapid set.
its an old trick for doing repairs in heavy traffic areas where it has to go off real fast. add more air with awhisk and even worse .
