Hi guys, been checking out this site for a while now, sorry its taken a while to get around to posting something. Been tiling for a few years now although have got into installing wetrooms quite a lot lately. Quick question for anyone while i am here, job i am currently doing prep work for has 900x400 porcelain tiles to go on walls, suggestions for best cutter would be very welcome. I have tried a Sigma manual cutter on 800 tiles before and found it hard work, broke and chipped more tiles than managed to cut!!! What about the makita circular saw type cutter that tradetiler sell, any thoughts on that?????? Many thanks:8:

:welcome::welcome: merv.
the sigmas usually cut them no probs,maybe the scoring wheel is blunt?

:welcome:as hillhead says als try after scoring on sigma dont use breaker use hands on outside edges ot tile push down to break hope you understand :8:

:welcome:if you are going to use your hands make sure the cut isn't close to where you place your hands on the tile to break off, I've seen a nasty slice to the hand from ceramic tile. place th tile on a solid counter top or table after scoring.
