What's your opinion on Micromax 2?

Have used it quite a bit lately, must be one of the poorest grouts on the market IMO.

Yep, over £20 for 5kg.

Takes too long to dry in joints, cakes on face, doesn't form well with sponge, runs in joints, doesn't tighten quick enough for a second wash, scum is hard to remove, the list goes on. Like an even worse UCP.

I don't even need to write a post of my own, this is exactly what I think! This grout is garbage, I stopped using it after a few goes with it. The original one was way better.

I don't use it. Too sandy for walls. Gravity takes over and most of it falls on the floor. I even had a voucher for a free bag, but did not bother using it. It's Weber for me.

I popped in to my local Topps yesterday to order some tiles for a customer, they had a massive pile of MM2 being sold on the cheap as it was out of date, it seems they don't sell very much of it!

Mapei UCP is my first choice followed by Ardex. I've never liked any of the Bal grouts except Microflex. Unlike Sean, I think Weber is awful stuff. Odd isn't it.

Whatever happened to sand & cement and Portland cement?
All these colours and 50 shades of Grey!

At 20 pounds for 5 kg TJ we should all start making grout ,less than 50 pence worth of raw materials great margin there

I love fixing but loathe grouting.

The finished grout is veryGood quality . But definitly not tiler friendly in my opinion

Never pay that much for a bag of grout it's just ridiculous. I use bal standard grout and add gt1when needed..
