just a little tip...

set your landline phone to divert calls to your mobile so that you dont miss those jobs!!

i think its £3 per month with bt for the service and you pay for the calls that divert to your mobile. doesnt work out that much a month, but your gteed to answer the majority of customers enquiries and that leads to more estimates and more jobs!!! its obviously better to have a seperate line for your business but it really dosent cost much. i pay around £20 per month inc the diverted calls, extra line etc and it really does make a difference to the amount of jobs you get and you can off set the cost against your annual tax bill

if you call you competetors land lines, just see how many go to answer phone!!

8/10 people would prefer to see a land line number in business mate. looks more reassuring to the customer.. but you have a valid although obvious point!! :yes:

I do also advertise my landline number but 99% of my calls come through my mobile as people who phone during day realise that you are out working so dont bother using landline number. Understand the value of landline number advertisng though as it does give re-assurance
