what about preformed corners? no sharp edges to worry about.

A decent tile trim mitre block and a new hack saw blade, the best bet by far IMO

Preformed for me, I have done my own in the past but your always going to be governed by the shape of the quadrant.

Dave, you must have some pretty odd looking thumbs!

Personally, I prefer not to use quadrant. I stick to straight edge and cut square. Easier and better looking imo.
