mixing grout

Hi

Grouted a job today and followed the instructions for ratio on bag. The mix was way too wet as a result. It was microflex grout.

What are the foolproof ways to mix to the right consistancy as I have no faith in the bag instructions after this one, and several others!

The best way is to add not quite the recommended quantity of water then mix the grout and if it needs more water then add more a bit at a time until its the correct consistency...just like thick cream....

when mixed, grout at the right consistency should hang from the trowel without dripping off it....just.......Gaz
