I'm usually pretty close, although been just under a few times (and i mean JUST! Nothing worse than trying to mix up a timy amount of grout lol!)

Can usually get it within the metre, hate wasting grout.

same here, i work for a company and whatever grout i dont need on the job will do me for my homers lol so am always mixing just anough almost perfect at it

try plastering a big hit and not mixing what you need. pain having to run off to get water and mix a bucket agen

I mix using around 300ml water at a time which is usually about an average wall or floor. Rarely waste more than a handful of grout per job

Just mix enough for the job do get it about right what with the price of the grout like Bal superflex,little tip if you got half a bag or so left put in in a black bin liner keeps the damp out.
