Paul, to add to what Grumpy said, consider the larger rectangle or square that all the smaller tiles fit into, then do your layout of the larger module only. When setting the tile, each group of 4 sizes will sort itself out while it fits into the larger blocks in your layout.

If you do your layout correctly then the group of smaller tiles has to fit in each module.

Hi Paul,

I'm sure you already know this, but for the benefit of others that might not....when making the sample module size, make them up from tiles mixed from several boxes in the order. One time I got really stuck when I did my layout after measuring one box of tiles only, and then set about two boxes worth and left for the day. The next day, the terrible realiztion hit when I saw that for some reason about 30% of the order had tiles that were slightly smaller than the rest of the order:yikes:, and even though they all had the same lot numbers they were off enough that I was hosed on my layout. :incazzato::mad2:

Very easy and simple.
- if possible - take the centre line running through both of the rooms
- if not, take a line following the longest wall running through both of the rooms
- across that line, find the best point for you to start,
- take a measuring tape and check all corners and walls from that point for both directions - their distances
- all 4 sizes tiles are either 20, 40, 60cm or 15, 30, 45, 60cm
- if distance of any of the walls or corners from your point is close to 20cm, or other case 15cm, move that point by few cm.

I hope you understand me.
