Montolit Mosaic Mat

Any of you guys used this, or is it a bit of a gimmic. I have some glass mosaic that needs cutting coming up and wondered if this worth getting?

I don't have one but I think it is a good idea nad if you check out the Brevetti site I think you can see videos of the mat being used. it seems to work.

i looked at this at the tile and stone show and was really impressed it will be the next tool i will be purchasing i bought the new laser liner level recently the one trade tiler had on his stall fantastic bit of kit

seen it being used in a demo at the school,seemed to do the job but never used myself.

Problem I have is, is it just a mat, I can't see why I can't just use a rubber mat, fraction of the cost, if that is all it is.
Those of you who have seen this in person, what was it made from?

sorry bobbin i thought you meant the montolit mosaic cutter with the grinder on it i havent seen the mosaic mat the idea behind it though is it stops the mosaic shattering as it reduces vibration you are probably right about any rubber mat working just as well

I use a mosaic mat of my own devicing at times (piece of rubber I got at a hardware store). It's great with fiddly mosacis that won't sit still when you cut them.

Some cheap mat look slike the way forward then, cheers guys.
