perhaps there should be a dedicated site that you can name the rogur tradesmen on!!
Good for you to sticking to your guns and telling the plumber where to go and letting the customer know what was happening!
There is alot of bad rogue builders down here where i am and i quite often go into places of work where they have so called carried out the prep work, and ive had to tell the builder that its not good enough for me to tile on, I get called alot of names, but i always stand my ground. They look at me as if im stupid, But once explained to the owner the reasons why, it usually gets put right or i am asked to put it right..
They really make me mad!!!
What makes me madder is when you actually get asked to leave by the builder cause hes not happy with what you have told them and they end up tiling over it themselves....

personally i wouldnt accept anyway work depending on the work load they give you. A similar thing happended to me i had an arguement with a builder with the position of an expansion joint over concrete and plywood i explained an expansion joint was needed builder wasnt having any of it i told the customer direct of my concerns least to say the builder never give me anymore work

Old topic but still no answer,I've waterproofed(Is that what you mean by tanked?)the shower and the client wants me to put a screw through the membrane and cement board as a secondary precaution to hanging the soapdish as she doesnt think the Silicon will be strong enough. All I keep thinking is I'll be compromising the waterproof membrane, any thoughts?Besides "that's an old topic".(I still can't find an answer in the search engine.thanks,Bootsmckiber
