mosaic advise

Hi, i have a kitchen splash back to tile next week...can anyone give me some advice on fitting, ady, cuts, grouting and trim..well everythink really thanks...

Best adhesive I've ever used for mosaics has been Bal's Mosaic Fix.

Walls must be in very good condition and flat to fix them propperly.

For cutting small mosaics you can use nippers and the wet cutter.

When fixing them to the walls watch for excess adhesive seeping through the grout lines, as this can be a very labour intensive job to clean up.

To avoid this "depending on the mosaic size", use a 3mm trowel for the adhesive and gently press the tiles to the wall with something large and flat to get an even finish.

Yor grout float is good for patting down mosaics.........

i use a grout squeezy to press them. agree on adheshive.and take plenty of grout!

Also ...work cleanly.....wipe any excess adhesive as you go from the joints....and don't play with the mosaics after they have been on the wall a bit...coz the backing softens and if you try to move them then they move individually and look a mess....

If the mosaic is really thin I use the flat edge of the trowel
