I'm about to lay a porcelain tile floor with a mixture (in 2 halves) of Mosaic tiles on a 'paper' backing and a 600 X 300 format tile. All tiles are 10mm thisck. It's a wet room and so I assume solid bed? In terms of laying the adhesive, I've read anything from 6mm to 10mm for the large tiles but 4mm for the mosaic. As I need them to finish level with each other - what's the secret?

Help please.

if the mosaic tile is the same thickness as your 600x300 tiles 10mm. just use a 10mm trowel, were you have read about 4mm trowel for mosiac,s thats because there the really thin ones and you need to use a small trowel to stop addy coming through joints

You may find the large format tiles will sit slightly higher because of the larger surface area, just somethink to watch out for
