Rubber float, as in grout float? That's what I use

as i do too!

I'm putting down 25mm mosaics, not on a floor but on the horizontal area of a bath surround. I'm using a 3mm square notch without any probs. and the adhesive is appearing around the tile but not oozing out too much, so must have 100% contact. :hurray:

3mm square does the job for me.

And i always keep a paint brush in my water bucket so if you do get a bit of adhesive coming through you can wash it out of the grout joint.

Thanks to all that replied, finished the job this morning, 3mm square notched trowel, rubiflex stainless of course, bal mosic fix, and microflex wj.

What a pleasure to lay and grout, it was a real joy, and i forgot to take a piccy :incazzato:

I know, I may be going back, she had two mosic sheets left and asked how much id charge to stick them as a splashback behind the sink in the cloakroom, I told her i would have done it for nowt if she'd have mentioned it to me yesterday before i chucked the left over addy away. So i've told her ill do it for petrol money mats and a pack of lager.

If i dont go back ill have to see if she'll email one to me or something, its a belter for the portfolio (that i never use but like to look through from time to time...lol)

i used a 5mm square notch recently, found no issues

Hi ,for mosiacs I use a 3mm or 5mm comb depending on the type.For this glass mosiac 18m², I used a 3mm, Ardex S16 white. Gently bedded in with a rubber grout float.
