My Rubi ND200 packed up, so, due to financial tight arse-ness, I went back to an angle grinder. That was about 3 years ago. I still like/prefer a grinder to a wet crotch. I do need to get a wet cutter one day though.
 
The only reason I am asking is because I have got to get one and I am just trying to find out what some of you guys who have been tiling for quite some time recommend.:smiley2:
 
On any ceramic or porcelain jobs I only use a dry scribe cutter and a grinder with a montolit blade. Unless I'm doing stone, I never use a wet cutter, before I got my dewalt, I never used a wet cutter.

Is the Dewalt the only wet cutter you have Bri....
 
personally I'd get a dry cutter first, coupled with an angle grinder. Assuming that OP will mainly be doing ceramics/porcs and that 90% of cuts will be straight and going straight from cutter onto wall there'll be no need to hang around waiting for biscuit to dry.
