Mounts for rifle sights

For the hunters amongst us I have just bought a Richter optik scope 3-9x50 with illuminated cross hairs. Anyone used one and if so how did you find them?
I also need to get some different scope mounts as these are tight to the gun and I cant adjust them.

I still haven't got round to sorting a shotgun! Got a mate who goes hunting with a rifle and shotguns who says he'll be going regularly again now the fields are dry enough to take his Landrover into so fingers crossed it'll be rabbit pie soon!
