a 6mm cement sheet if the boards are solid which i doubt they are..check the boards and lift and add dwangs if needed then 6mm cement sheet it....your then going to have to level the concrete floor to bring it up to your cement sheeted height with self levelling compound

do you have a tiler involved in this project?

hi sam where are you suggesting you cut the ufh? is it 1 mat for the whole area?

is the mat tiled directly to or is it screeded in either way i cant see you saving it once you start lifting those tiles it will be covered in rock hard cement

i understand sam you must be frustrated at the thought of lifting all this up but unless ir prepared correctly you will forever have issues with this install imo

imagaine re doing it half hearted again and it re fails? its not worth the risk or the hassle

You could use a thermal board for the screed floor to balance the floors out...

Whitebeam the concrete floor is the higher of the two by about 6mm

Was somethink laid onto the floorboards to bring the hight up for the floor screed....

Kilty thank you for your advice .It is v frustrating and I think its all going to have to come up. Haven't got the budget for that right now though. Is there anything you can suggest in the mean time to help with the movement until then ???

Hmm. Definitely one to get a tiler or U/F H specialist to look at it I would say. Advice by typing won't solve it I'm afraid...

who did the work in the 1st place , cant you get them back, obviously poor prep work on the timber side of the floor, and im afraid like all the lads have said , the lot will need to come up and start from scratch. no quick fix or temp solution, sorry

Best to remove and have it done by a professional tiler .sounds like you may have got a cowboy ,good luck and maybe some pics of before and after would be nice

You wont stop the movement untill the floor comes up.
