Hi All,
I'm looking to build my walk in shower soon but need some tips and advice on a couple things 🙂.
I was thinking of using schluter products to build my wetroom shower but the materials are coming out quite
expensive when you start adding things up 🙄.
Can anyone recommend an alternative waterproofing materials to Schluter or shall I just bite the bullet and
build it all out of Schluter?
The other question I have is:
If I was to build the my shower area with Schluter products, what adhesive would you recommend?
I'll be ordering Kerdi Coll for sealing all the joining strips but can I use this to bed the shower tray down to the
plywood floor and using it to stick kerdi board together for building a shower bench?
All the youtube videos talks about thin set mortar because thats what our american friends use over there.
Currently my small bathroom projects costing me nearly £10k and I don't live in a big massive house, just your normal 3 bed 1930s terraced house.
£4.5K labour, Materials including all new sanitaryware, taps, shower, UFH etc £6k, the schluter products is costing just over £2k.
Trying to look at Value engineering options now lol.
