My driving ban questions?

That makes 7 months your've been banned, theres only a couple of months left

Im too slow at typing and not keeping up with the other posts,

You can only apply for your licence to be reinstated before the end of a ban if the ban is more than 2 years, if its more than a 2 year ban you can ask for it to be reinstated if you've served 50% of it eg 1 year of a two year ban, and 5 years of a 10 year ban.

Because you got less than two years you cant. My younger bro was in the same situation, got a 12 month ban and really needed to get it back earlier to take a job.

Sorry mate, not what you hoped to hear, at least its only 8 or so more weeks.

Nope, in england its 50% for bans of 2 years or more, im 100% certain mate.

Reducing the period of a disqualification

You can ask the court to reduce the period of your disqualification after serving:

• two years of the disqualification period if the disqualification was for more than two years but less than four years
• half the disqualification period if the disqualification was for more than four years but less than 10 years
• five years of the disqualification period if the disqualification was for 10 years or more

You’ll need to apply in writing to the court that disqualified you, giving the date of offence, date of conviction and any information to justify your request. If successful, the court will notify DVLA of the decision. You can then apply to renew your driving licence.
If the court refuses your request, you’ll have to wait three months before you can ask the court again.

Cheers mate ill have too find another way round it. I have just got a quote on line and my insurance has just over doubled!

Yeah 9 off them mate over a couple off years, Plus 6 for Not having correct insurance 15 points in total

Then slow down when your driving and you wont get any. I have no time for people that speed, I lost my cousin to a speeding driver 10 years back, she was 32 with 3 young children, such a waste of a beautiful person.

I'm not brave enought o say that Diamond as I got caught speeding (35 in a 30) earlier this year. I agree though that speeding should carry the same stigma as drinking and driving in my opinion.

Sorry to hear that mate bit unfair really a for some reason its made me feel guilty. And all off my points have been motorway with 6 off them being average speed checks through road works.

hi mate i got banned for totting up a few years back and as a result my employer wrote me a letter stateing that with no licence i would lose my job. I took my letter from my employer to a solicitor who managed to get me off my ban but i had to pay 650 pound fine and do an intense driving course which only took an hour!

tell them you employ 4 tilers end you will have to sack them as you cannot get around to look at and price the work . it word for a mate of mine , ne had 16 points twice they just upped the fine and no ban.
