Yes mate it was a special strip, £55 for a 2.4m length . chrome plated trim to stop it tarnishing

only used my wet cutter on the full job. tiles werent difficult to cut.

not to sure, think it was the new composite wortops, smelt like car body filler when i was cutting them.

Same one ive used for the last 11 years, think its a tile easy one £150 they are. 180mm blade. i look after it and change the bearings every couple of months or sooner if i hear it change noise.

Just goes to show the classic cutters can survive with a bit of TLC and a good blade!

Takes 5 mins, when your a fully time served engineering maintenance fitter its a doddle, Bearings £7 for 10, new cutter £150 plus, no brainer. no need to dwindle the profits away.

i often contemplate the idea of buying new gear and think well because its more exspensive and newer it must be better, but the job in question only took 3 days to do all the tiling which i think is about right. i suppose if i tried out some more exspensive and newer gear it probably is far superior and i would think to myself what have i been battling on with over these years lol. i use my wet cutter and i have a 700mm manual cutter and thats all, (apart from a brand new wet cutter which i bought because i thought mine was buggered. Thats before i knew you could buy and replace the bearings)

Nice work Sean.
I would question the removal of the soil stack though, is that the primary or a sub stack? If its the primary then it should be vented to atmosphere and at the very least if it is a sub stack then the AAV should be above the spill level of the basin. Worth checking that out on the plumbers forum just to make sure.

The durgo AAV is situated above the sink spill, the 200mm cupboard to the right of the toilet is a dummy unit which i built up using spare door and spare carcas material.
