If you used wordpress like advised you could be first page of Google within a month!

can you transfer a whole site over to wordpress though otherwise that means starting all over again?

For SEO you should decide what keywords you want to target - in particular your primary keyword and then some others.

You need each page targetted to 1 keyword.

You should participate in social media and use your social media accounts to link back to your website.

A basic overview but this will help your seo ranking.
