Obviously it's still under construction so difficult to comment, but I like the colour scheme, It's simple, but easy on the eye.

I'd get some pictures in the gallery asap, there's nothing worse than visiting a website, that's been half done and forgotten about. (im sure your on with it).

Stick a links page on there as well and get into the linkswap thread set up by dan and wetdecs.

I personally would loose the visitor counter as well, it can be impressive if your site gets loads of hits, but if it doesnt i would find it off putting as a visitor i would wonder why the site wasnt getting much traffic.

Dan has posted a huge amount of information on search engine optimisation in the link swap Q & A thread, do everything he says in that thread and you wont go wrong.

Based on what youve put on their so far though its a thumbs up from me.

What area's do you cover?

You have three seconds to tell the visitor you're the right website they want (fact). You want in massive letter area's they know - and what you do.

TILER IN XXXXX right at the very top would suffice for humans - I'd add it a few times in various places to tell bots - so they help rank you well.

I like the layou and the design, I'm not much for the clock, though that's personal preference. I'd have a contact form thereinstead of that perhaps making it really quick to message you (let me know if you want a hand with that).

60% of people looking for a tiler are women at work during working hours on their works computers. They don't always have access to their personal email account to email you (to click on a link to email you) so a contact form on your website gets around that.

90% of people looking for a tiler are women. Full stop. I'd make it attractive to women - meaning pictures. Lots of lovely tiles, bathrooms and kitchens.

Overall 9/10 mate. Well done.

Looks good mate. A few suggestions though (constructive ones)

We are a professional bathroom fitting service which offers luxury restyling or refitting of your bathroom, at affordable prices.

We are passionate about creative design, and meticulous about maintaining high standards. Customer satisfaction is out highest priority.

Whether it be an ultra modern bathroom with a 10 jet power shower, or a simple, yet elegant, roll-top bath on it’s own, anything is possible with our expert service.

We specialize in all aspects of tiling, including natural stone, such as marble and granite. So if you want a simple ceramic splash back in your kitchen, or a luxurious bathroom, tiled floor to ceiling with elegant marble, we should be your first choice.
Here at Alnwick Ceramics, we use high quality tools in all our work.
Laser levels enable us to tile with precision.
Our dry tile cutters are imported from Italy. They acheive a superior finish on cuts.
Whereas others will often split a tile and carve out the two halves, leaving an unsighlty hairline crack, when fitting showers and other furnishings, we use drills encrusted with diamonds, which are able to cut through the hardest of stone with perfect finish.
If you would like a free quote without obligations, feel free to contact us using the form below, or use the telephone numbers provided. Both have answering machine services.

That's BRILLIANT advice from a guy that has English as his second language lol. I didn't even pick up on that lot. (I'm not good with English and it's my FIRST and only language).

It's almost embarrasing to think I can't say more than a few sentences in another language (spanish) and it is fact that most other countries speak English better than we do (perhaps I should speak FOR myself and point out it's not always the case - but it bloody feels that way sometimes).

Well done sWe.

thanks guys, that's all great advice.

That is just the first publish of the site so that people who see the site advertised on my van don't go to one whole "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" site.

I was just stuck the clock in there to fill up some space for now but I see as it's not really relevant I shall remove it.

Thank you for the grammer check sWe,my mother is an english teacher yet I cant string a decent grammatically correct sentence together ! haha

I will get the pictures up asap but as I only went live two days ago and got my van on the road then too, I need to get down to a couple of jobs and stage some!

anymore help appreciated.

On m site (im no web design expert like Dan) i've included it as text wherever possible, by incorperating it into paragraphs.

I think im right in saying, that the more times it says Tiler in xxxxxx the more relevant the search engine thinks the site is to a search for Tiler in xxxxxx.

Plus as daft as it sounds, some people arent very good at reading maps no matter how basic they are. Saying in in text leaves them in no doubt.

hi mate

1. the colours are all a bit 1 dimensional. could do with some variation in places.
2.could do with some images on the home page to set the atmosphere
3. i would have a banner under your trading name ie ..

ALNWICK CERAMICS
tiling specialists & bathroom design

4. obviously some pics in the gallery...just before and after. people like to see the finished product as opposed to the labourer sweeping up etc etc. less is more with the pics in some respects imo

5.tools used?? not really sure that is something that will be a usp. i would expect a pro trades man to use pro tools anyway.

6. i would have had the set up in this order

home - about us - services -gallery -testimonials -contact

7. finally use dans advice with regards to areas, etc etc

regards
ed

ps just a good job you didnt buy that ts50plus from me last week. it wouldnt have read as good would it mate..double rail cutter especially imported from liverpooool lol

i like your site just wandering why you put the" tools we use" section / page, i think from your home page you give the reader the feeling that quality fitting is your fundamental objective backed up with some nice photos i think that the tools page is not nesscesary ,why not have an about us page ?give some info about your company how long you have been doing this some of the clients you have worked for this is just my opinion and i am no expert, have you thought of designing a logo and creating a brand identity this helps when you sign write your van getting you noticed and remembered if someone sees you flying around town hope this helps good site good luck with it
