does it not need sealing then kev.

Deffo needs sealing 100% but you need to talk to the client about what sealer they want thats all. The customer is paying and its always best to ask what sort of finish they want. Once I know that I can tell you which sealers I would use. What sort of stone would help as well mate:thumbsup:

Dave,

A lot depends on the surrounding tiles I suppose. But I cannot understand the reason for masking off unless I am missing something. If the surrounding tiles dont accept any sealer what harm have you done? Other than to seal the grout? If they do accept some sealer then you have still sealed the grout and it must do some good or:huh2:

I mask off to stop the odd splash or drip when im brushing it on. Plus i can do it quicker, lazy i suppose!

I never apply premium sealer with a brush!!! I always use a paint pad cut to size and apply it by hand in neat vertical and then horizontal strokes. There is never enough on my pad to get any splashing. Don't forget anyone who asks me to seal a floor with a Premium Sealer is paying close to £50 a litre for the product alone so I never waste a drop.
