As I am Remodeling my old house now a days and take advices from time to time on telephone or internet as i have no time left to go and find appropriate people and experts.
I am facing a problem with Water Tank on the roof. which is the storage of water supply to whole house. Problem is that when ever it overflow and water came out of it flows all over the roof. slope level of roof is very good. but i am seeing that damp is appearing on my ceilings near that place of Water Tank. I want advice whether i should resolve this problem from inside or outside and how.

Sounds like you need a bigger overflow off your tank and the roof needs fixing.
If you need a temporary fix and you can get under the tank can you build a tray marine ply and tank it with fibre glass, or mapelastic smart under it to catch the water and redirect the extra water? But this is a short term bodge only
This all needs sorting, we've had little rain this year, so imagine the problem when we have worse weather.

1st unblock the current overflow
2nd put in second overflow. just drill tank and fit tank union and a pipe.
3rdstrengthen up under the tank. the weight could be damaging the roof surface
4th fix ro0of. whether or not the tank is leaking is ireliventy, the water shouldnt get through the roof

temp fix untill above is done is to fit the extra overflow, maybe one of those patches for fixing flat roofs might slow down the leak. check where the pipes to and from the tank go ,maybe the seal around the opening is shot.
