screwfix had a bargain last month!
dewalt sds drill with 12v cordless drill for £99
i put in an order to buy one went back to shop looking for more stuff came back with card to pay & it had gone,not in shopping basket but the other stuff was i couldn't find it on website neither so i guess the offer was over so it came off sale!
i was well :furious3: off!
I got one of these when the offer was on. Bloody great SDS and the cordless is great for screws etc.

I know where you are coming form Gaz mate. Wasn't a rushed decision. Potentially there is some construction stuff to do in the future (house build if you recall?) so this was in the back of my mind in decision making.

I could have bought another make for less money but it would have to have been on the 'net, which meant if there was a problem, I would have the hassle of mailing it back to the supplier. At least these people are local so it will just be a swap out if anything breaks!

tiler burden

makita too for me but if i had the choice of paying 234 for grumpies dewalt or 100 pound for the screw fix one, then id got for the dewalt because it will last longer and even if he finds he doesnt use that more , then he can stick it on ebay and some bid happy lunatic will bid 3 quaters of its original value!!! brand name tools always always sell on ebay for top dollar, budget makes dont have the same effect. but if 100 pound is what you feel is right to pay then thats the right decision isnt it!!
