Never tiled...some advice please?

Hello all

Never tiled before and have been through many threads and read some great advice....much needed as you can imagine!

I wanted to ask Is it possible to tile on to a matt laminate worktop? I've asked a couple of friends and the response was mainly one of horror!

Any advice would be great,thanks.

:welcome: you'd be better off covering it with a 6mm Hardie tile backer board first.
