New Boy

Recently completed a 10 month college course gaining a City & Guilds distinction grade in wall and floor tiling. I have since done a couple of jobs at home but still out of work and struggling to get things off the ground with no budget. Any tips and advice would be extremely welcome. I have created a couple of albums of my 2 jobs at home if anyone interested.

As TJ says above, keep up to date on this forum & you will learn a lot. its the best free advice you will get.
Its hard going out there just now so if i were you i would send your CV out to as many tradesmen / companies as possible & see if you can get a start as a tilers mate.

Welcome to the forum johnny, what are you waiting for ,lets see your tiling pics. Print flyers and get on your nike trainers and deliever them to the locality and let people know youre there. Call in to local tiling shops and ask if theres any small jobs to get you started. Hope it helps a bit.

Hi mate,first i got my logo designed and business cards (hand them out everywhere)then a couple of banners made (on fence outside tesco) and am now in middle of website.-but most work is from tiling shops handing my cards out.(defo get in with the sales guys)also approach and talk to as many people as you can about your trade-your next job can lie anywhere.ive not been going long and ive had constant work(talk confident with customer)use this forum for all the questions your gonna need answering and you cant go wrong :smilewinkgrin:
