Time's Ran Out

:welcome:Gareth - you'll get a lot of information from these forums to help in your final choice!
As for your plan of attack it seems OK.
Learn as you go with a paid job for security.
It will give you a taster on the basic courses and when you do a couple of starter jobs you'll enjoy it.
Then comes the descision time - its trying to find the work in 6 months time!
Not having a regular wage coming in!
How much do you think you will earn in your first 12 months and do you have commitments?
All I can say is 'THIS IS THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD' but it doesn't happen overnight!
Choose wisely grasshopper!

I quit a decent paid job to become a tiler, i love tiling but im very slow, good but slow. Fast tilers normally cut corners, as do plumbers who tile but i get a lot of job satisfaction out of what i do.

Some tilers have been in the game so long they think 4 steps ahead while their working, experiance is their speed

well said whitebeam  speed comes with efficiency and forward thinking not cutting corners.
anyhow yeah this is a great job but 6 months is tight mate , even just for the tiling bit, i wouldnt envy anyone starting out at the moment its tough at the best of times but fantastic to have that sort of ambition pal good on ya and best of luck
