Hi, Tilers Forum

We are doing a self-build in S.Cumbria and are at the finishing stages.
We have a limestone tile floor to lay currently with underfloor heating.
The screed is 75mm thick and has been laid since Nov. 2011.
We are using porcelflex flexible tile adhesive.

What we would like to know is how can we best avoid cracking the tiles.
Should the underfloor heating be brought up to temperature before laying our tiles?

:welcome: I'd make sure you use a better adhesive and in conjunction with Ditra decoupling.
Make sure the floor has been brought up gradually to temperature/tested, but has been allowed to cool and is OFF when tiling. Then after 7 days from tiling, brought back up very slowly 2 degrees per day.
