New member saying hello

Evening forum!

Just joined up looking for some advice on my upcoming bathroom renovation project, and since I have next to no experience with tiling, I can imagine I'll be coming up with some pretty noobie questions, so please bear with me! I considered posting on diynot, but reckon that you guys are a friendlier bunch, so here I am.

It's a pretty basic project by your standards I'm sure... the walls have been taken back to the breeze block; I'm going to board with NMP then tile with Wickes travertine effect tiles. White porcelain tiles to the floor (maybe with undertile heating). New bath, new vanity unit, new shower, shower screen, lighting etc. Should be good when it's done. Only thing is I'm a bit of a perfectionist and want to make sure I do everything the 'right way', which means I'll do a good job... but so much time is spent planning, researching and revising my planning that sometimes I wonder whether I'll ever make a start on it! With your help and advice maybe I'll have the confidence to actually put trowel to wall... :hurray:

Personally I would dry line the walls with plasterboard

Whitebeam, why would you choose plasterboard over NMP? I thought that NMP was pretty much the gold standard for overboarding? (It's a moot point anyway cos I've got NMP anyway now, but just interested to hear your rationale).
