I have been finishing off my kitchen for months. The delay has been because I am tiling around a window recess using tile trim and couldn't work how to do a 3-way mitre so kept just putting it off.

I light went on - look on the internet - doh! - and here I am just looking at pictures how to do it. Thanks very much guys - although looking at pictures at producing the finished article are two completely separate things!

Wish me luck.

If it's a window recess, why do you need a 3 way mitre? Surely a 2 way will do? Just stand the trim up in your mitre block and you'l get 2 great 45% cuts that look great!

If you need a 3 way, then try this link (if you haven't already seen it!), http://www.tilersforums.com/tiling-forum/3605-cutting-tile-trim-3-way-mitre.html, then just drink beer and practice on the boxes :lol:.

Practice, practice, practice. It will look better than the fake corner option IMO!

Can I say a big thank you to everyone for all your support, help and advice. Although it took me ages, I plodded on and finished the tiling - something which I had been putting off for months. Strange how things become invisible after a while!Anyway - it's now all done and looks great - and I feel a lot better as well.I have a new bathroom coming up in the new year so I'll be back soon - for ideas, tips and advice.Regards and a Happy ChristmasGerry

Pictures??? Wow. Not sure if I want my handiwork exposed to critique by professionals!! I'll have a think after a bottle of wine.

As a supplementary question - I want to put up a mirror on the wall (without screws) in the dreaded kitchen and tile up to it. Can I use normal tile cement to fix it to the wall?

Regards

Gerry
