Hi, I,m Pete, After an operation to my shoulder I have been advised to forget my trade as a steel erector/ rigger. I would like to get into tiling, so I,m asking where is a training course easily accessible from N wales, and would tiling be a good idea for me considering I am not to do heavy manual work.

Welcome, I enjoy tiling,but it's not easy on the arms,knees sometimes.

Your shouler may be in for a battering if you get large format stones or porcelains to do. If you stick to kitchens with 10x10cm tiles at least you'll only get repetitive strain injury.

It may be worth travelling away from your area to train though as some of the best schools are thoughout the country. Check out the reviews and forums about the different schools on here to help you out.

I have to say Tiling is a very physical job. Any injuries will only get aggravated by our type of work. Lots of lifting, bending and kneeling in our game. Sorry to say that but its hard graft.

Hi Pete welcome to the forum, Tilling is a physical and demanding job. same as trade especially if your self employed you only get out what you put in. usally sore ankles for me.
