Just thought I would post a new member message, at least it will get rid of the reminder.
Found site while browsing earlier in the week looking for info as I was doing a job and thought I was loosing the plot.
My customer had been given some Pilkington Dorset Stone Ceramic tiles, 6in square and 12 mm thick. Don't know long they had been in her friends shed as the boxes were almost rotting away. Anyway only doing a small bathroom floor and had gone through two wheels so thought I must be doing something wrong.
In the end I rang Pilkingtons and they said they are from their industrial range and very hard so that's the problem explained.
Managed to finish yesterday after burning out a third wheel.
If I am asked to lay a similar tile again I will think twice about it or at least tell the customer they willl have to pay for the wheels.
