New Tiler saying hello and help!

Hi all

I am new to the tiling game since my December course, although I got a bit of experience helping my brother in law last year.
I did ok on the course but it was only 2 weeks so my product knowledge needs a lot of help!!
i could do with some suggestions about which adhesives are best for what, and sealants etc. Everywhere i go someone has a slightly different opinion but certain suppliers seem to be a bit cagey, don't know whether that is me though!
Also, I may have a couple of jobs coming up involving stone and slate tiles, any information on this would be great especially advice on wet cutting and what cutters would be best to use.
Ok I think thats it for now, but i'm sure they'll be more!!
