New Years Resolution.

I shall be training really hard this year, last year I ruptured my ACL and am recovering well, but aiming to be fully fit by the end of the year. Fully fit to me is running the Dorset Coastal Path Marathon. I won't be doing it again, it took me 7 hours and was the worst thing I have ever done, but just being able to run for a good 3 hours will be a bonus.
(I'll be not drinking in January, and trying to drop my Christmas Gut for the first few months)
I'd also like to be able to manage muscle-ups and a human flag.......been trying on and off for years.....time to nail it!
Oh - and finally finish off the flat.....and relax!

yYou for real @p4uloC. lol. That must take some core strength.

I didn't make a new years resolution. Missus made it for me. 🙁

Got on the scales at a friends house New years eve. 17s'8. She wants me to get down to 16 by next year.

Gotta strengthen my back up after suffering a setback this year.... MRI on friday to find out whats up. So her aim is for me to fix my back, get to the gym, and lose 1 n'alf stone in a year. Don't think she'll manage it to be honest, but will give it a good go.

Should be fun 🙂 (will it heck! 🙁 )

That's not even half a pound a week, u can do that easily by reducing ur current daily intake by 200 calories a day!
3000 calories reduction equates to a pound in weight,
Therefore 1500 calories is half a pound
However, 2000 calories burnt thro exercise also equals a pound lost, it's far more efficient than reducing calories.
Obviously those figures are very general and not specific in any way, but on average that's what it equates to.
That's based on ur current daily intake if u are maintaining a steady weight without actually gaining.
If ur actually gaining steadily then 200 calorie reduction isn't enough, it would have to be more!
Someone in ur kind of work would normally expect around 2200-2300 calories a day to maitain a steady weight!
But again that's average. Government recommended figures are too high imo, u've only got to look down the street to see that in the main the average person today is overweight or close to it!
But that's just my opinion 🙄
Ahhhhh that's better! 🙂

thanks 3_fall...... I shall take your advise.......

And EAT IT! :hamburger:

TBH I've gradually put on weight since my job became less manual. My back issue has stopped me taking the dog for long walks too. Used to go for a 8 mile hike every sunday. Thats stopped. lucky to get him round the estate every day at the moment.

Been a miserable year health wise but 2016 is the year I spin it back round on its arse!
