newbies slate tile questions please

thankyou everyone, looks like I'll have to learn to use the "comb" rather than dot and dab on the floor. I think I will be OK using it on the floor but I think I still prefer to dot and dab my wall tiles. These are only 100mm X 100mm ceramics so should be OK yes?
