I'm sure they're just different sort of spacers. I've seen the Americans use them alot.

I'm sure Rubi do something similar

I used all bal product, bal tanking, addy and grout. The adhesive was pre mix, but allow 7 days before grouting so should be dry.

Ah ok it's not something I would use but ok. You tanked and used addy suitable for wet area. Fair play and nice job.
