Newly tiled hallway but gaps all around the edges

dont be waiting for my responce on this again lol ,i really cant believe some of the things that are said on here,ok just one more repeated question and one new one,do you build it into your price for misshapps ? and secondley how are you testing the studded to lever of the skirtingwithout causing damage

Leave them on, can be doing with having to replace half a wall with plaster board, if the customer wants them off i tell them its not up to me to put in right afterwards,

i also agree better off but not practical in most cases unless customer is willing to pay the extra ££££££££££££££££ because no one knows what will happen

you could always trim bottom of skirtings with a fein to slide tiles underneath, it's something I've done in the past...

I remove skirting, if it's viable. If not, I cut the tiles tight, and grout. I was always taught that you shouldn't use Silicon anywhere that will be painted, as you can't paint Silicon, so always get a tatty finish.. I'd go for caulk over Silicon .

when you go to look at a job you can decide if you can take skirting of. my preference is taking them of. however sometimes its not possible. i dont add any money onto job for something that might happen same as i dont add money onto job incase i chip a bath or worktop... Silicon to skirting . caulk to ceiling

you just can't help yourself eh! I never add on any extras (well very rare occasion), I give a quote and that's it. Studs are very easy to find on a a stud partition, at the start, then the end and usually every 400 mm in between but there are other tell tale signs.
