Norton Clipper

popped off to ctd to pick up a norton clipper tt200 for £95 + vat, cheapest price i could find on internet was £150 so well happy. My question is i notice on a lot of posts people saying the effectiveness of the cutter is as much down to the blade as the actual machine so in peoples experience is the blade that comes with the norton ok or should i look at investing in a different blade, also should you have maybe a selection of blades for different materials or does one do all ??

yeah its a stainless steel top on it, looks like a very well made bit of kit i just dont really have a clue as to a good blade from a bad one if that makes sense

Norton wheels are usually ok. But its always wise to have a spare and the best you can find. The better a wheel cuts the less effort the motor needs resulting in a better cut.

My norton from back in the day came with two wheels and they cut really well linked with its 800w motor. Mine rusted so badly I threw it out!

i would recomend marcrist ck850 (200 x 25,4 mm blade size) can be used wet and dry i got 180mm and 115mm grat stuff but do check how thick is the bracket of the guard as that blade is v. thin
