hi been tiler for 2years did ica course trying to get nvq without having to do another long course very quiet at mo so dont know how to get evidence for nvq whats best training centre for this putting myself through this to try and get out to australia but after reading the forums i dont know if good idea thanks

Hi Rempy,

With regards to your NVQ it does not have to be paid work in order for you to gather evidence for your portfolio, for instance it can be a job for a family member or friend or even a project in your own home that you get assessed on. It just has to be in a real situation not simulated conditions.

Unfortunately if you are considering migrating to Australia as a skilled Wall & Floor Tiler you will need to have 4 years provable experience behind you in order to undertake an RPL skilled assessment to gain your AQF III.
