rite so take time and strictly no water!... seal before grouting once up or before staring? 9mm trim or 12?

Yes you do, you just need to take it slowly and do a few practice cuts first. Believe in yourself, you have to do everything in life a first time.

50mm. socket screws sold by screwfix. if 50mm is too long just cut to length cheers.

cut with decent pliers, but make sure you dress leading edge so it screws back in cleanly.
