What does everyone think about the ongoing argument between Spurs and West Ham over the olympic stadium when its finished with? It would seem that West Ham have the upper hand as they have said that they will keep the running track!!!

Spurs have said they are going to redevelop the running track bit but 80% of the original stadium will remain.

It's in there own Borough and what happened to all the big ideas Daniel Levy had before this debate for a big all singing and all dancing new build stadium for Spurs...

it'll be a rubbish atmosphere if they keep the running track, it's been proved with the european clubs that have one. the fans are too far from the pitch,west ham would be better off developing upton park as many of the fans may boycott if they move and i wonder if they have 60,000+ fans to fill it.

for sure. apart from the fact that i don't know a single west ham fan, that actually goes to see them, who wants to leave upton park anyway. i almost feel sorry for them.

whoever gets it, what I'd like to see is a proviso that money has to be pumped into grass roots athletics training. In my opinion athletics is far more accessible to our youth than gobby wannabee chavtastic parents. Too much emphasis is placed on football when what we should really be concentrating on is sport for all youths.
